The Wisdom of Sacred Geometry
What is Sacred Geometry? For 60 centuries Humanity has created works
which still hold our wonder. Obviously,
places like the pyramids, megaliths, and earthworks scattered around the globe
required mathematics in their construction, alignment to the skies, and in
their geometric shape.
As
we dig further we find that the mathematics of their form, even their location,
and the rhythms they may have and probably did measure, are all
interrelated.
Sacred
space gives way to sacred form as quite common and often ubiquitously used
symbols rely on the same basic precepts.
Trigonometry, Astrology, Qabbala, and Mandala are all related. Phi (the golden section), Giza, Stonehenge,
the Human, the apple, and our solar system all share a common structure.
This
sacredness of the geometry of mathematics and of learning is what we can and
should be teaching in schools today. I
have been unwittingly doing so for more than 12 years and the results have been
noteworthy.



And
so, I have progressed with my work, which has now become my vocation: to bring
to the world an understanding of sacred geometry, and an excitement of the
Creative Intelligence, Magic, and beauty behind mathematics.

Welcome to alternatives, where we
succeed in making mathematics more interesting, fun, and achievable for a wider
portion of highschool and college student populations, while pushing those typically
capable souls to expand their Human sides.
This is key; mathematics which is Humanistic, builds upon ancient
Wisdom, and is relevant.
We
can make and use Mandala, Platonic-, Archimedic-, and Kepler-forms, Ф,
ancient symbols, geometric division of the circle, √2, √3, and
fractional processes to creatively and passionately teach Algebra, Geometry,
and Trigonometry. Further tools and techniques
involve use of Astro-Logix and Zometools, architectural field trips, rocketry,
arch building, astrology, music, and sound.
These are meant to instill what is referred to as "Awe". New ideas for assessment methods; which
encourage growth (not testing), themes of instruction; national
finance-consumerism, and recreational mathematics are also included.
Results
of this work in testing, effort, interest, and student sense of accomplishment
in the general high school and college classroom are very positive; with
failing students receiving average passing scores within two years, as their
peers often also shift upward by at least one letter grade and the normally
excellent student finds their first real challenge in the subject.

I
am a teacher, student, and artist of Sacred Geometry, Mathematics, Astrology,
Archaeo-Astronomy, Leylines, and Sciences.
I believe that mathematics education needs this fresh voice, echoing in
many cases work that others have done or discovered. My initial career in Engineering showed me applications of
mathematics. I then traveled the world,
studying cultures, art, and architecture.
My experiences have each given me some ingredient to the educational work
